That way, you can schedule all of your holidays ahead of time, by year and don't have to go in the night before or morning of to manually mark your business as closed so everything goes straight to voicemail, like you want it to. Then, manually re-open at the end of the day. Lot of manual work for something so simple.
I recently manually tried to change our business hours so i could route calls for a phone number to our AI Agent for the public holiday. It ended up causing issues in the workflow and troubleshooting to get it back to normal.
I would love an easy option to have a public holiday override when the phone number can choose to go to the AI agent for that day or voicemail or whatever it may be
