It would be helpful to search contacts for appointments on the scheduler or search the scheduler for existing appointments. Both areas could use functionality improvement and communicate better- With the current set up we have duplicate appointments for customers

I agree this would be super helpful to search a customer and see when their next task is for so we can change it there without having to search through every day on the calendar. Or if you link the calendar and contacts together so they interact with each other.
When scheduling an appointment, there is no way to look up that appointment. It would be very, very helpful to be able to look up scheduled appointments by customer name, email, phone number instead of having to search through every scheduled task to find it. It causes multiple, duplicate tasks to be set, in turn, contacting the customer too often and upsetting them. It has a negative impact on my job.
