Currently, in the Sales Dialer's Timezone-Based Calling feature, users must manually configure calling windows for each country. This can be cumbersome when the majority of countries need to follow a standard calling window, such as 9 AM to 6 PM (landing number's local time).
To enhance usability and efficiency, we propose introducing an umbrella setting that allows users to define a global calling window for all countries. This setting would apply by default unless explicitly overridden for specific countries.
Proposed Solution:
- Add an umbrella setting where users can define a fixed calling window (e.g., 9 AM – 6 PM local time) for all countries.
- Allow users to override this default setting by explicitly configuring different time ranges for specific countries when needed.
- Ensure that calls are only placed within the designated work hours unless the user chooses to override them.
- If calling outside of standard hours is necessary, users can leverage the JustCall main dialer instead.
Reasoning & Benefits:
- Reduces the need for repetitive manual configuration when most countries follow standard business hours.
- Aligns with common work/business hours (e.g., 9 AM – 5/6 PM) to ensure that calls are made at appropriate times.
- Prevents unintended early morning or late evening calls unless specifically requested.
- Enhances user experience by simplifying the setup process while maintaining flexibility for exceptions.
