Our sales team’s performance KPIs are based on call log data recorded in Zoho CRM (Leads and Contacts modules). Currently, JustCall only logs calls to CRM if the contact or lead already exists at the time of the call.
In many cases, we receive inbound calls from new leads, and the corresponding CRM record (lead or contact) is created only after the call. As a result, those calls are not logged in CRM, even though JustCall can already identify the contact name after the record is created.
We intentionally do not enable the “Create new contacts if not found in Zoho address book” option to avoid generating irrelevant or “junk” data in CRM, since not every call is lead-related.
Introduce functionality that enables retroactive call log syncing with CRM, allowing calls to be linked to newly created leads or contacts after the fact.
Automatic matching: When a new CRM record is created with a phone number that matches an existing call log, JustCall automatically links the past call.
Manual linking option: A “Sync to CRM” button in the JustCall that lets users manually attach past calls to the correct CRM record.
This enhancement would bring measurable operational benefits:
Improved data accuracy: Ensures a complete communication history for every lead and contact.
Reliable KPI reporting: Sales KPIs tied to call activity become more accurate and meaningful.
Better workflow efficiency: Eliminates manual data entry and follow-up tasks for sales teams.
Higher CRM data integrity: Allows valuable call data to be logged without generating unwanted or duplicate records.
