Teams using shared JustCall phone numbers and automated workflows currently have no way to associate outbound SMS sent via the /v2.1/texts/new API endpoint with a specific agent. All API-triggered SMS are logged against the Account Owner, which limits visibility into agent-level activity, performance tracking, and reporting.
We request an enhancement to allow an optional agent_id parameter in the request body for this endpoint. When provided, JustCall should attribute the outbound SMS to that agent for logging, analytics, reporting, and activity history—mirroring the behavior of messages sent directly from the JustCall app.
This feature is essential for organizations integrating JustCall with third-party CRMs or lead management systems and relying on shared numbers, as it avoids the need for parallel tracking systems outside of JustCall and improves accountability across teams.
