Local Presence toggle appears actionable even when prerequisites are not met

Problem

Customers with only one number can still see and interact with the Local Presence toggle, which creates confusion about whether multiple numbers are actively being used for outbound calls.

Customer Impact

  • Customer assumed Local Presence was dynamically rotating numbers, even though only one number existed on the account

  • Led to confusion around CNAM behavior and caller ID consistency

  • Required live support clarification to explain that Local Presence was effectively inactive

Current Behavior

  • Local Presence toggle is visible and can appear “active”

  • Messaging explaining the requirement (multiple numbers) is subtle and easy to miss

  • UX implies functionality that isn’t actually available yet

Expected / Suggested Behavior

  • Disable the Local Presence toggle entirely when prerequisites aren’t met
    OR

  • Show a clear inline message like:

    “Local Presence requires multiple numbers. Add more numbers to enable this feature.”
  • Optional: CTA button → “Add Number Bundle”

Why This Matters

  • Reduces confusion around caller ID / CNAM

  • Prevents incorrect assumptions about number rotation

  • Improves first-time experience for Sales Dialer users
